Not really. The final texture is comparable in roughness to new commercial climbing holds. The diamonds just stay sharp for longer. Anyway, you shouldn't be dry firing off hangboards regularly enough to cause skin damage.
Yes! We use a special process where industrial grade diamonds are physically embedded into the surface coating on the texture plate.
Absolutely. It's specifically designed to balance comfort, durability and performance. It should last a lifetime of edging. You don't need to be a pro to use pro-level equipment.
Yes, for hard training sessions it's best to use chalk. But the advantage of the diamond texture plate is that it's approximately equivalent to slicker boards without chalk - so you can sneak in little sessions anywhere! On the couch watching TV, or in the office are some of our favourite places to edge.

Your Edgemaster is built to last. We back it with a lifetime structural warranty covering normal use. Cosmetic wear, damage to the screws, surface finish, and any damage caused by using the product for purposes other than hangboarding aren’t covered.
