The Nano started as a simple question: how small can a real hangboard be before it stops being useful?
The Nano is an ultra compact 15mm aluminium hangboard designed for warm ups, finger curls and micro edge training aka claw grip training. It's small enough to clip to your chalk bag, keep with your brush, throw in your training kit or even carry with your keys (maybe).
The idea is simple: if your warm up tool is always with you, you're far more likely to actually use it.
The 15 mm edge has been carefully shaped with a very slight incut to make it feel secure without forcing your fingers into awkward positions. It works as a regular portable hangboard, but where it really shines is finger curls. Because the board is so small, your fingers can move through a greater range of motion than they can on a normal-sized block or hangboard. You can open up, curl through, and close into a smaller fist.
The Nano is also designed to specifically target adaptations in fingertip strength. The careful combination of tilt geometry, hanging location, incut angle and low friction means that it's exceptionally good for driving pressure through the very tips of your fingers. Also known as "claw grip" training. It is not designed to reward compensation strategies that you can get away with on other boards - such as bunching the skin on the lip of the edge to lock the hangboad in - or dragging.
This is a precision tool for targetting specific finger strength - and as such you may find that you cannot lift as much weight with this hangboard as you'd expect. For maximum effort, high force finger training you want to look at the PRO line of hangboards - with the diamond microtexture - which are designed to maximise friction.
It is especially good for progressive warm ups before climbing, finger activation, travel training and quick sessions where you may not want to carry a full setup.

Your Edgemaster is built to last. We back it with a lifetime structural warranty covering normal use. Cosmetic wear, damage to the screws, cord, rope, surface finish, and any damage caused by using the product for purposes other than hangboarding aren’t covered.
